With so many Yoga styles to choose from and the ability to practice anywhere with little to no equipment Yoga is a form of physical activity with numerous benefits physically and mentally. Check out the great chart below for some great examples. I encourage you to try some of the different styles before deciding if it is "right" for you. Personally I love a power flow class most of the time, but enjoy restoritive while ill or traveling and I practiced gentle and therapeutic Yoga with my physical therapist while recovering from an injury. With Yoga, unlike some other physical activity an injury or illness does not side line your "work out" and it has been proven to aid in quicker recovery. Flow, restoritive, power, gentle, a style for everyone at every stage of life. Just try it!
