Clairece Rosati Music

Clairece Rosati is a singer and songwriter from the Pacific NW, currently living in Walla Walla WA. Her impressive range, beautiful tone and control, vocal strength and agility allow her to artfully navigate  through many genres of music. A classically trained soprano adept at singing in four languages, she especially loves the spontaneous creativity and movement of jazz and the power of soul and gospel music. Clairece has won awards as a soloist and songwriter, has been involved in countless live and televised musical productions, and sung in small ensembles and choirs for national and international recording artists. She regularly performs with her husband Gary Hemenway, an accomplished and talented pianist, vocalist, director, arranger and educator as part of a powerful duo. She also enjoys working as a guest vocalist with a host of other  musicians who call the west coast home.  

Clairece has a passion and gift for singing Gospel Music and is regularly invited to lead worship at churches in the NW and has also participated as a member of two outstanding Gospel community choirs over the last decade.
She was a founding member and soloist in DaNell Daymon's Greater Works Chorale and during her time with the group they were two time winners of Seattle's Gospel Fest and West coast regional winners of BET's Gospel Choir Competition How Sweet the Sound. They continue to wow audience's internationally most recently on America's Got Talent.
Annually she participates in the Oregon Symphony's Gospel Christmas as a choir member and soloist with the NW Community Gospel Choir. A wonderful event in it's 20th season this is an elite group of some of the most talented musical professionals on the west coast led by music director Gary Hemenway and conductor Dr. Charles Floyd. The Grammy nominated Oregon Symphony paired with a ninety voice gospel choir, it is the longest running concert series of it's kind in the nation and is a wonderful celebration of diversity, artistry and worship, all near and dear to her heart! In honor of their 20th year Clairece is a featured soloist on their first recording project to be released in December though Grammy Winning label Pentetone.

Clairece is also a member and featured soloist with the Walla Walla Choral Society a long standing tradition and beloved choir in the Walla Walla Valley who preform three sold out shows a year at the beautiful Power House Theater.

Clairece also offers private and group instruction in a series she calls "The Whole Instrument". In these sessions she combines breath work, alignment principles, meditation and Yoga Asana in a holistic approach she has developed over the years to support vocalists and public speakers to find ease, flexibility, confidence and strength in their body and voice.

The Walla Walla Choral Society’s 2018-2019 concert season begins with “Peace & Goodwill” at Gesa Power House Theatre on Sunday, November 25 at 3:00 p.m. and Monday, November 26 at 7:00 p.m.

Peace and Goodwill. What two words better describe the historical Christmas season? This quiet, white light-filled time, “gentle on the ear,” calls for reflection and introspection. It is also an occasion for great joy, “fire and powerful grace,” “songs of hope everlasting,” and care. Joining us will be guest cellist Sally Singer Tuttle, and the Sharpstein Elementary School Choir as we join together to tell of the season’s wonderful themes and deeds.
